Frequently asked questions
How do I save a recipe?
Tap the + button on the Recipes tab and choose Paste a link, Take a photo, or Type it in. Buddy will parse the ingredients and steps automatically.
How does the AI shopping list work?
Pick the recipes you want to cook this week and CookinBuddy generates a consolidated shopping list, sorted by category (produce, dairy, pantry, etc.) so you can shop faster.
Can I share recipes and lists with my family?
Yes. Open any recipe or shopping list, tap Share, and invite someone by email. They can view and edit in real time.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions and choose CookinBuddy to change or cancel your plan.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are processed directly by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for CookinBuddy. If you have trouble, email us and we'll help you through it.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your recipes, shopping lists, and personal data. If you can't access the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
My recipe import didn't work — what can I do?
Some sites block automated imports. Try snapping a photo of the recipe instead, or paste the text manually. If it still fails, send us the link and we'll investigate.
Does CookinBuddy work offline?
Saved recipes and shopping lists are available offline. AI features (import, shopping list generation) require an internet connection.
